Emergency Financial Assistance
James Island Outreach can provide emergency financial assistance to clients who are at risk of a disconnection from Charleston Water, James Island Public Service District, or Dominion Energy.
Financial Assistance applications will be available during client walk-in hours (Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 am – 11:30 am) or by appointment. All financial assistance payments will be made directly to the entity providing the essential service.
Eligibility
1. James Island Outreach client currently using our pantry for food assistance.
2. Resident of James Island (29412) or Folly Beach (29439)
3. A copy of the bill will be submitted with the application for assistance.
4. Have not received financial assistance from JIO within the past 365 days.
All JIO clients who receive financial assistance are encouraged to participate in a financial resources workshop, held twice monthly at James Island Outreach. For more information visit our financial Resources Workshop here..
