James Island Outreach has a long history of providing basic human services in the Charleston area. We also provide a connection between our community and our neighbors in need of assistance. Our eligibility requirements are simple, and our goal is to help all who come to us with compassion and love.
Our client-choice wellness pantry offers an opportunity to select items from our shelves.
Participants will receive valuable information and actionable ideas to improve their household financial balance and ease stress through increased income or reduced expenses.
A limited amount of emergency financial assistance is available to clients who have a critical need for help with utility bills or housing.
Eligible residents of James Island and Folly Beach can apply for help ensuring the home they live in is safe and secure.

1. Be a resident of SC
2. Have a current income below established USDA guidelines.
3. Have a valid form of identification.
Financial Resources Workshop:
No eligibility requirements! We welcome all to attend. The material is relevant for anyone, from high schoolers to seniors.
Financial Assistance and Critical Home Repairs:
Additional requirement that the applicant must be a resident of James Island (29412) or Folly Beach (29439)
